Eclipse Theatre Company is now offering private lessons! From helping with audition material to helping with line memorization, our offering is a wide variety to help your student succeed in all things theatre. 

All lessons will either be conducted virtually or in-home, for your convenience! 

We aim to provide affordable AND quality lessons, so that every student is able to reach their full potential. 

When filling out the Lesson Registration Form, please indicate what areas your student is looking to improve as well as any important information the instructor should know.

James Boykin

A theatre graduate from the University of Mobile, James plays an active role in the Mobile theatre community. With a background in directing and acting, he has contributed his talents to numerous productions while also taking on various onstage roles. He won a Nappie in 2024 for “Best Theatrical Singer” and another in 2025 for “Best Local Actor”. James is committed to fostering an environment of empowerment for participants, aiming for a transformative experience that nurtures growth and creativity. With a genuine passion for the craft, James motivates aspiring actors to excel in a supportive and enriching setting.

Hannah Rhodes

Though ultimately a philosophy graduate, Hannah completed around 100 hours of theatre classes at the University of Mobile.  Hannah has been actively involved in Mobile's thriving theatre community since childhood. Experienced in both directing and acting, she has led productions at Chickasaw Civic Theatre while also participating in various local shows. Hannah was named Best Local Comedian at the Nappie Awards 2023. Hannah is deeply committed to community outreach and knows that theatre is one of the most powerful forms of expression.

Marlee Boykin

Marlee is a University of Mobile graduate, receiving her degree in Worship Leadership with a concentration in film & theatre. While pursuing her undergrad, Marlee participated in numerous professional productions both on and offstage. Marlee is not only a performer, but she has a background as a stage manager and props master as well. She is also a former member of the Sounds of Mobile, a traveling vocal ensemble affiliated with the university. Upon completing college, she accepted a role as a performer with the Walt Disney Company. She spent four years alongside many beloved characters, bringing magic to families from all across the globe. Since hanging up her tiara, Marlee has continued her involvement in the local arts community. She welcomes students of any level, even if that means no current experience. She prioritizes a comfortable learning environment and instilling confidence in those she teaches above all else. Theatre is not meant to be intimidating, but enjoyed. It will still meet you no matter where you might currently be.
